Looking at the future and the jobs that will be high in demand might be a daunting task. You have always wanted to be an engineer, teacher or nurse, but will this still be in demand in the next 10 years? Will you be able to continue in your field after that? In this blog we answer two important questions for your future. What are the best future jobs and, more importantly, what are the degrees required to get them?

Before we start diving into the list of future jobs, this list is based on the information listed by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. These jobs are filtered by the highest growth rate, and are thus an indication of what will be in demand. This job comes as a given in the future. Thinking about the future, you can easily envision how self-driven cars, drones, and automation will be part of the picture. They have a firm hand on investments and develop long-term financial plans.
Alongside this career, risk management will also be growing in the near future. Balancing risk with profit is always a fine line to dance upon.

Yes, AI might take over small procedures in the future, but human interaction in this field is there to stay.

In the digital age, keeping information safe is of utmost importance. An information security analyst installs software to protect your information. In other words, you will be responsible for hacking your company and making sure no-one else can! This is one of the most high-profile future jobs, and here are the degrees required to do it:

Industrial Engineering

Optimization - to make it happen quickly and efficiently with the best quality and highest profit. Therefore, an industrial engineer focuses on the process of manufacturing, using industry knowledge, new innovations, and new technologies to optimize the work space. Part of the job description in big factories is planning maintenance and managing people to have the best possible processes for the company. And, yes, they will be able to explain the hard math problem!
